ABOUT THE COURSE

Often we go on a course or read a book and get inspired. We apply some of the ideas and get results over a short time and then tend to forget it over the following few weeks, if not days.

The 12 week course breaks takes material from the book, The Self Factor, and delivers it in weekly bite size pieces to make it easier to stay motivated and engaged.

Over the 12 weeks we take a journey together. You will have the opportunity to make changes in how you think about, take care of, connect with and express yourself. If you apply the ideas then they can make a dramatic difference to how fulfilled you are in your life and work.

If you have not read The Self Factor then the course will introduce sections from the book and can be used alone. If you have read the book then you can use the course as a review to follow through on all the changes you will have begun to make.


HOW THE COURSE WORKS:

I have reflected on how to serve those of you who just want a short to the point weekly input as well as those of you who want to explore in more depth. My solution is that the emails you receive will be short no-frills summaries with links to the web site -- where the material in the email is repeated together with extra information and extracts from the book if you want them. The first email is a bit longer than usual as we set things up together.

If you already have the book then, at the end of the email, you will also find suggested optional extra reading from the book that will cover the extracts at the web site and more. That way you can scan the email and then read from the book when you have time.

At the beginning of the course, you can download the 12 week course tracker. You can use this to record key points, insights, commitments and actions for each week.

Sustaining Empowering Listening Friendship

Sustaining is about providing yourself with a nourishing and safe environment and doing what it takes for your various needs to be taken care of.

Empowering is about believing in, encouraging and supporting yourself so that you have the best chance of achieving the things that really matter to you. It requires the 3 R's -- Responsibility, Respect and Resources

Listening is about taking the time to acknowledge what is true for you on different levels. It is about finding out what your values are and what you really care about and want. When you slow down and connect with yourself, then you have access to much greater wisdom and perspective.

Friendship is about giving yourself the gift of unconditional, positive regard so that whatever is going on in your life, and however you are doing, you are always there for you and ready to support yourself.

There is an enormous power that comes from fully being you. The four parts of the SELF model help you to access and express that power, in different ways.
